Click a corner at a time to outline a neighbourhood, a poll or a single street, then drag the corners to reshape it whenever plans change.
No shapefiles and no GIS knowledge. The person who knows the ward draws it.
A real door count for every area
Each area is counted from municipal address data where it has been loaded, and from OpenStreetMap buildings and addresses everywhere else. Recount at any time.
Progress has an honest denominator, so "80% done" means 80% of the doors.
Assign turf to canvassers
Give an area to one canvasser or several, with an optional target date. Each canvasser is emailed when turf is assigned to them.
Everyone knows where they are going before they leave the office.

Doors visited, doors remaining and a clear state for each area: not started, in progress, ready to close.
Spot the area that has stalled while there is still time to send help.
Areas close themselves at 90%
When nine doors in ten have a result, the area is marked complete, the date is recorded and canvassers stop being directed back to it.
The last few doors are usually unreachable; your team moves on to fresh ground.

A form that follows the conversation
The main question comes first. Answer "nobody home" or "left in the mailbox" and the conversation questions step aside.
No irrelevant questions at a door where nobody answered.
Every visit to a door, newest first
Open a door and see what happened there before: each earlier visit, its answers, who recorded it and when.
A second pass starts where the first left off, instead of starting over.
Apartments and condos, unit by unit
Where your list has unit numbers, the form asks which unit, from the list itself. Each unit is its own door with its own history.
A 40-unit building is 40 conversations, and it is counted as 40.
Record a whole street at once
Pick a poll and a street, tap the doors you knocked, and fill in the form once for up to 50 doors. Contact details are left out when several doors are recorded together.
A literature drop or a quiet street is recorded in one step, not fifty.
Correct a mistake for 24 hours
A pencil on a recent visit reopens it with its answers filled in. Saving updates that visit; it is not a second visit and it is not charged again.
A wrong tap is fixed on the spot, and your numbers stay true.
Nothing recorded, nothing counted
Open the form and save it empty, and the door stays available for the next round. An empty save is not a visit and is never charged.
Your coverage figures only count doors where something happened.

What campaigns like yours ask before they start.
Do I need a voter list to start?
No. Draw your ward on the map and KnockTurf counts the doors from municipal address data where it is available, or from OpenStreetMap. If you have a list, you can upload it.
How many volunteers can I add?
As many as you need; there is no limit on the size of your team. Each plan includes a number of seats, and a seat beyond that is a one-time fee, never a monthly charge.
Can I export my results?
Yes. The campaign overview downloads whatever is on screen as a CSV, with the address, area, answers, canvasser and date.
